Go Go Gadget Legs

In the last ten days, I have had enough experiences to last a lifetime! R&R was so amazing, we stayed in a national park...and it was actually scary at times, cause there was nothing between you and any african animal including lions...so we all avoided going outside at night! We went on a few safari's (2) and saw everything but a lion...

Then we headed off to Morogoro for the Adventure cycle (R&R was short, only 1 day pretty much). The mountains in morogoro were spectacular...it totally changed my concept of Africa...b/c I never expected mountains in Africa. We hiked Uluguru Mountain and it was fantastic I will post the pictures as soon as I get home. It amazed me how many people live way up in the mountains in their huts! And they had corn and other crops growing all the way up the mountains!

Another cool experience was when we visited the Masai village. What an awesome culture they have. They were so welcoming, and many responded to the Jesus film. We headed off to Tanga after 5 days of working in Morogoro (and were sad to leave the LIFE ministry staff there, they were great!) Tom and I had no idea that our trip to Tanga was going to be such a crazy adventure. But two Dala Dala's, one canoe and a broken down school bus later, we arrived at our team! (our trip was supposed to be 4 hours, but it was more like 11)

Needless to say we were exhausted after two days there and then travelling all the way back to Dar Es Salaam. Two days was too short of a visit for all the travelling we did. But the staff that planned it had no idea how far the national staff actually took our team! AHhh, the crazy life we live....see ya back in Canada!
