bu·reauc·ra·cy Pronunciation Key (by-rkr-s)
n. pl. bu·reauc·ra·cies

2. Management or administration marked by hierarchical authority among numerous offices and by fixed procedures

Just shoot me now. That's how I felt earlier this week dealing with bureaucracy...the above definition is exactly what I did...dealt with numerous offices and procedures fixed by hierarchical authority (ie:our government!). And man, it was tedious. Getting a driver license in this province could be a simple thing, but no, you have to go from office to office and from form to form. Not too mention the "out of province inspection" which is just set up to make you have to pay for something. Speaking of which, and it costs too! Every step costs moola! So to get a drivers license you need proof of permanent residency and then you need insurance but that takes a while cause it's all private so you have to shop around for the best rate! Luckily a fellow staff's(Jill's) mom is a broker and she was sooo good to us! That was a gift of grace for sure!

So it's is final now...we live here permanently, we have licenses and insurance, and finally health insurance. And we have cancelled all (actually most) of our stuff from Sask. Whew...it wears you out...all this BUREAUCRACY!
